lyrics

I thought I heard you say “These trees are covered in alcohol”
As it erodes into the sand
I’m falling upwards…
I’m falling upwards…

Find a way to blend the ink into the stains
Jump ship form the old to the new wave
Supernova illuminates the highway
See yourself as a body in the express lane

This is the story of our interconnection
Shot us down in our prime
Now we slowly become invisible, it’s undeniable that

We are (We Are) - We’re the children of a globalised world
We are (We Are) - We’re the children of a globalised world

A substitute for your compliments
A compliment to what you substitute
Infinite fractal design that’s spread over space and time
The debris was a girl who fell apart, the debris of a soul that fell apart

Erase all the facts and dig through the sand
The farmer is dead, so the village will forever starve
The reasons are infinite, yet they seem so hard to justify
Wipe all your tears and kill all the memories
The fabric slowly tares, but it’s mended by radio-waves
Because Everything is made of string and it’s quickly unravelling

Binomial, bi-variate – expanding in an n-dimensional world
Slow – decaying wheat that we find

[Rant 1]: Calling it a cover-up just might be far too dramatic; but for more than half a century, even in the midst of some of the greatest scientific and artistic achievements of human history, we have all been aware of a dark loud looming on a distant horizon.

I dreamt I heard you scream “These trees are covered in mescaline”
As I seem to forget my name…
I’m scaling downwards…
I’m tripping upwards...

Erase all the facts and dig through the sand
The farmer is dead, so the village will forever starve
Wipe all your tears and kill all the memories
Everything is made of string and it’s quickly unravelling

‘Dear Citizen’
‘Yes Sir’
‘Can’t you see, you can’t bleed; We’ve stolen your memory
…and the only way to live is under our control’
‘I don’t believe’
‘…And yet we control nothing!’

The signal was weak in the valley, so we climbed to the mountain top
And I told you to ‘Jump off!’

Wrap up, pack up your perceptions
Take a side; hitch a ride to the end times
Smoke filled eyes relax for the last time

[Rant 2]: And just was is the texture of this fabric, which wraps my face in dissonance; elegantly distracting from the reality of our chaotic nature; gracefully dictating our thoughts, structured like clockwork; tangential to every breath and every heartbeat, over the vast plains of our history.

We are (We Are), We are (We Are) – We are the children
We are (We Are), We are (We Are) – We are the children
…of a globalised world, of a globalised world, of a globalised…
…of a globalised world, of a globalised world, of a globalised…

I thought I heard you say ‘These trees are covered in alcohol’
As it erodes into the sand I’m falling upwards…
I dreamt I heard you scream ‘These streets are covered in mescaline’
As I seem to forget my name…
I’m scaling downwards…
I’m tripping upwards...

A substitute for your compliments, to compliment what you substitute
A substitute for your compliments, to compliment what you substitute

We are (We Are), We are (We Are) – We are the children
We are (We Are), We are (We Are) – We are the children
We are (We Are), We are (We Are) – We are the children
We are (We Are), We are (We Are) – We are the children
…of a globalised world, of a globalised world, of a globalised
